Italian Night: Falasca and .Gelato

Falasca is a cute little Italian restaurant just south of Yonge and Eglington. Family friendly, and a great place for a good meal. The pasta portions are a little on the small side, but one order will leave you quite satisfied. They have a variety of different pizzas as well, and they do take out!

The pasta was perfectly cooked al dente. I haven't had pasta with a texture that perfect in a very long time. This dish has mushroom sauce with some Italian sausage mixed in.

This was the salmon pizza. It looks a little strange, but that's because what you think is the pizza dough (where the salmon is) is actually cheese! A bunch of argula covers the top. They do have more "typical" pizzas with tomato sauce as well (like the eggplant pizza, which has 2 long, thin pieces of eggplant across the pizza!)

After dinner, it was only fitting to end off our Italian-themed night with some gelato - right across the street from Falasca is .Gelato. Funnily enough, two of the other families we saw eating at Falasca that night had headed over to .Gelato for dessert as well! Having a little sweet treat was a nice end to the night :)
A poster in the shop displaying all the flavours they offer (I guess these flavours are across their chains, because I didn't see 100+ flavours in this shop haha :P)

This was a mix of chocolatey-hazelnut with some chunks of Nutella. I'd definitely go back to try the other flavours!
